Why are push notifications not working on my Android device?

When the Dr.HereOnline app is closed, some Android devices might not receive push notifications. The likelihood of encountering this issue depends on the device type in use.

To continue receiving push notifications, configure your device to auto-start the Dr.HereOnline app when a new notification arrives.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The precise steps for this process will vary based on your device model.

Xiaomi

Enable auto-start for the Dr.HereOnline app. Open Security, proceed to Permissions, and then Autostart. Ensure Dr.HereOnline is enabled.

OnePlus

Ensure Dr.HereOnline is included in the auto-launch list. Access Settings, click Apps, select the gear icon, and then navigate to Apps Auto-launch. Locate Dr.HereOnline in the list and enable the toggle to allow auto-launch.

Oppo

Verify Dr.HereOnline is on the list of permitted start-up apps. Open Security Center, select Privacy Permissions, proceed to Startup Manager, and then grant Dr.HereOnline App permission to start in the background.

Vivo

Activate the auto-start setting for the Dr.HereOnline app. Open iManager, click App Manager, navigate to Autostart Manager, and then permit the Dr.HereOnline App to auto-start in the background.

Lenovo

Enable the auto-start setting for the Dr.HereOnline app. Access Settings, click Power Manager, and then proceed to Background App Management. Toggle the Allow Auto-start switch for the Dr.HereOnline app.

Huawei

Ensure Dr.HereOnline is included in the list of protected apps. Access System Settings, proceed to Advanced Settings, select Battery Manager, and lastly, Protected Apps. Activate the toggle adjacent to Dr.HereOnline, permitting it to continue running when the screen is locked.

Samsung

  • Deactivate battery optimization for Dr.HereOnline: Navigate to Settings, then Apps, and click on the three dots in the top right corner. Select Special Access, followed by Optimize Battery Usage. Next, tap the dropdown menu labeled Apps not optimized, switch to All Apps, and disable battery optimization for the Dr.HereOnline app.

  • Prevent the Dr.HereOnline app from being affected by battery optimization features on your device. Access Settings, click on Battery, and disable battery optimization for the Dr.HereOnline app. Additionally, ensure the Restrict Background Data setting is deactivated.

Asus

Access Settings, select Power Management, and then Auto-start Manager. Enable the Allow Auto-start toggle for the Dr.HereOnline app.

Devices using Marshmallow OS or above (Android 6.0+)

If the issue persists despite trying the relevant settings above, ensure the Dr.HereOnline app is excluded from the Doze feature (battery saving). Click Settings, Battery, and then Battery Optimization. Verify Dr.HereOnline is on the list of apps exempt from optimization.
